Kinesthetic Strategies to
Boost Math Outcomes

Brain scientists have identified that movement is essential for enhanced brain function, circulation, focus, concentration, learning, and retention. In this one-hour virtual training, you will learn efficient teaching and learning strategies that make math fun and engaging, promote equity, allow students to make up for the lost time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, dovetail with virtual instruction, strengthen SEL and support parents’ efforts in-home instruction.

The training will include time for a discussion and questions.

Not Just For Math

Don’t let the name throw you! Yes, we love math, but we are on a mission to connect movement to all content areas! We have activities and learning tools for literacy, science, geography, and more to bring kinesthetic learning to every classroom.

Play-based, kinesthetic learning is an enjoyable way for students to learn new concepts. It instills confidence and reduces the stress that can be associated with learning.

Movement is like "Miracle Grow" for the Brain

Movement increases growth factors and connections between neurons in the prefrontal cortex of the brain. The prefrontal cortex is responsible for developing complex cognitive abilities like:

  • planning
  • thought analysis
  • creativity
  • abstract thinking
  • social behavior
