Scholarships for Summer Professional Development

Summer break is a great time for teachers to learn new teaching strategies and fulfill their required professional development credits. If you are interested in learning more about movement-based learning for Kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms, consider attending the National Math Foundation/Math & Movement Summer Institute. Not only is New York a great place to visit during the summer but Math & Movement is providing 10 scholarships (valued at $595 each) to attend the Summer Institute.

What Makes the National Math Foundation Summer Institute so Unique?

The National Math Foundation has a distinctive, creative solution to teaching children who have been entrenched in a sedentary lifestyle. We invite you to attend the Summer Institute to learn new ways to inspire your students and improve retention. We will focus on the Math & Movement program, an approved program of the National Foundation, and will also have speakers and sessions covering a wide variety of educational topics. You will learn new strategies to strengthen your students’ math and reading ability, improve classroom management, increase critical thinking, support students with special needs, improve the health and well-being of you and your students, increase parental involvement, decrease the cost of RTI, and boost students’ understanding of “hard to learn” concepts.
