Meet Korie
I have been a member of the Math & Movement team for 8 years. As a previous collegiate athlete and certified yoga teacher, I was drawn to this program because of the integration of physical activity into learning. I am a graduate of Ithaca College, where I studied Integrated Marketing Communications and Writing. I provide support and leadership in marketing, design, and media relations for our program. I live and work remotely in Santa Fe, New Mexico. When I’m not working, you can find me rock climbing, mountain biking, or spending time with my dog.

Meet Emma I joined the Math & Movement team in the summer of 2017 after graduating from SUNY Cortland. In college I majored in International Studies with a concentration in Economics and Mandarin. My passion for languages and culture began in 2013 as a NSLI-Y scholar where I spent 10 months living in Taiwan, learning Mandarin and enjoying 木瓜牛奶 (papaya milk).  As a kinesthetic learner, I truly see the value in providing movement-based learning opportunities and solutions for schools. During my time at Math & Movement, I have worked with numerous teachers and school administrators on grant proposals for their school. It is incredibly rewarding to see the difference movement-based learning makes for their students.  I currently live in Ithaca, New York and enjoy open water swimming during the summer months and cross-country skiing during the winter.

If I could only pick one, I’d say the Add/Subtract Mat. There’s so much you can do with this mat, and when I used it in my classroom, I saw so much progress with my students. Plus they all had a blast using it!

Meet Madison

I have been a member of the Math & Movement team for 8 months. As a certified elementary teacher, I found one of the most important things to incorporate into the classroom is movement and getting kids engaged in your lesson. That is what really drew me to and got me excited for the Math & Movement Program. When students are engaged in your lesson, they are more likely to enjoy learning and grasp the concept that you are teaching. I am a graduate of University of Phoenix in K-6 Elementary Education. I provide support and leadership in creating educational items for teachers to use, and make edits to the amazing products that Math & Movement has to offer. I live and work remotely in Indianapolis, Indiana. When I’m not working, you can find me playing and taking care of my 10 month old daughter, spending time with my family, and preparing for the arrival of our second daughter.
