Meet Korie
I have been a member of the Math & Movement team for 8 years. As a previous collegiate athlete and certified yoga teacher, I was drawn to this program because of the integration of physical activity into learning. I am a graduate of Ithaca College, where I studied Integrated Marketing Communications and Writing. I provide support and leadership in marketing, design, and media relations for our program. I live and work remotely in Knoxville, Tennessee. When I’m not working, you can find me rock climbing, mountain biking, or spending time with my dog.

Meet Emma I joined the Math & Movement team in the summer of 2017 after graduating from SUNY Cortland. In college I majored in International Studies with a concentration in Economics and Mandarin. My passion for languages and culture began in 2013 as a NSLI-Y scholar where I spent 10 months living in Taiwan, learning Mandarin and enjoying 木瓜牛奶 (papaya milk). As a kinesthetic learner, I truly see the value in providing movement-based learning opportunities and solutions for schools. During my time at Math & Movement, I have worked with numerous teachers and school administrators on grant proposals for their school. It is incredibly rewarding to see the difference movement-based learning makes for their students. I currently live in Ithaca, New York and enjoy open water swimming during the summer months and cross-country skiing during the winter.Madison Stone

If I could only pick one, I’d say the Add/Subtract Mat. There’s so much you can do with this mat, and when I used it in my classroom, I saw so much progress with my students. Plus they all had a blast using it!
