Have your students write out 10 ways that they add joy and brightness to people around them. It can be their classmates, family, teachers, anyone they see each day. Give different examples to help students if they seem to be struggling with ideas.

After your students have written out the six affirmations from the mat, have then close out the writing activity with this sentence: And I add brightness to the life of everyone I meet
