Activity Instructions

Have students stand in front of the wall banner and ask them how many of a certain fraction make up a whole. Have students point to each of the fractions that you ask, and count them out to tell you how many make up one whole. For example, you will ask a student “How many fourths make up one whole?” And the student will walk up and point to the ¼ section of the banner. He/she will then count how many fourths make up a whole and then say the number aloud.
