Find the Volume of a Cube

Have students find the volume of a cube with sides 3x3x3, etc. Students will jump on the mat to find and say the answer.
Cubed Tic-Tac-Toe

Students make a sheet with nine different cubed numbers and roots on a card (3×3). Then, students take turns tossing a bean bag onto the mat. If it lands on a number on your card, you mark it off. The first person with tic-tac-toe wins.
Count and Jump

Hold up one of the dot cards located on the following pages. Have the student count the circles on the card and jump to that number on the mat.
Random to Ten

Have the students start on a random number then jump to ten, counting up as they jump.
Random to One

Have the students start on a random number then jump to one, counting down as they jump.
Identify the Numbers

Hold up a number on a card (number cards located on the following pages). Then, have the students hop to that number on the mat. To make it more challenging, you could cover the numerals (on the mat) when using numeral cards, or the number words (on the mat) if using number word cards.
The Number Walk

Have your student take the number walk from zero to ten. As the student steps on each number, encourage them to simultaneously say the number name. The Number Walk-Backwards

Counting backward is a prerequisite for subtraction. Encourage your student to start on ten and take steps to zero while saying the numbers!
Blast-Off!

Have your students pretend you are on a rocket ready for blast-off. Have one student start on the 10 and hop down the mat as the whole class counts down with them. “10, 9, 8, 7, …2, 1, blast-off!” Have your students jump up and clap while saying “blast-off!”
One to One

Have students count the dots on each square aloud, making sure they are counting one dot for each number they say. When they have counted every dot on a square, they jump up and shout the number!
