Activity Instructions
Have a student create a number and jump it out on the mat. After reading the number, have them write each numeral’s value on an index card and place it above each numeral. For example, after reading the number 24.398 students would write 20 on a card and place it above the 2, 4 and place it above the 4, .3 above the 3, .09 above the 9, and .008 above the 8.
