Activity Instructions
Write Cartesian coordinates that create a shape such as a rectangle, square, or circle on notecards. Have a student select one card and place an object on the mat according to the Cartesian Coordinate on the card. Have them place the card under the object. Have the students in the class take turns selecting a card and finding the correct spot on the mat. Once all cards have been selected and placed on the mat, have the class determine the shape.
