Activity Instructions

Students will all stand in front of the mat. The teacher will place down some letters to spell a word on the spelling list. However, the teacher will leave some of the letters out of the word. Students will have to figure out what the word is, and fill in the missing letters. For example, the teacher wants students to spell the word “Flower” She places F, L W, and R down on the mat, leaving a box open for the O and E. Students will work together to place the correct letters down to spell the word. If students get it correct, they get a point. If they don’t, the teacher gets the point. See if students can beat the teacher.
