Try This Large, Interactive Analog Clock for Math Class

This interactive analog clock for teaching time is the ideal addition to elementary math classes! Our Clock Hop allows young students to move around and play while practicing time. Teaching time with this clock manipulative becomes a full-body, engaging activity for energetic kids! Our Clock Hop is available as a heavy-duty vinyl floor mat, a laminated floor sticker for smooth surfaces, or a carpet-friendly sticker. Discover the Benefits of Teaching Time With Movement

Young students never like to sit still. In fact, students learn better while they are moving! Physical activity boosts blood flow and oxygen levels in the brain, resulting in greater learning comprehension and memory retention. Plus, movement-based learning helps young kids with developing fine motor skills. In addition to teaching analog time, this learning clock can be used to practice skip counting by 5s. The clock features numbers for the hour, minute, and second hands. Each quadrant is colored differently to visually assist with “halves” and “quarters” of the clock. Students can hop around the clock on the hours and minutes to understand how many hours and minutes are on the clock. Use the Clock Hop with movement-based learning strategies to help your students:

• tell time to the nearest hour, half hour, 5-minute mark, and minute
• understand elapsed time
• practice skip counting by 5s
