Sentence construction lessons don’t have to be stagnant. Our Sentence Hop laminated floor mats make fun, movement-based sentence building games a possibility in the classroom! Writing sentences in kindergarten and 1st grade can involve jumping, stepping, skipping, and more physical activities!

Each laminated Sentence Hop floor mat features an incomplete sentence with a blank space at the end. These mats are laminated with dry-erase material. Students can write in the last word to complete each sentence with a dry-erase marker. Sentence building games can be endless with infinite word possibilities!

These open-ended mats make it easy to include vocabulary or spelling words in sentence construction lessons. Students will get hands-on, tactile experience writing the words themselves.

Introduce basic sentence writing to kindergarten students. Take things up a notch by practicing more complex 1st grade sentences and vocabulary words on the mat too.

Materials: Laminated floor mats combine the power of our heavy-duty vinyl material with dry-erase laminate. The laminate works well with a dry-erase marker and can be cleaned easily.

Sample Activity: Sentence Hop

• Have a student write a word on the blank block.
• Then, have the student stand on the START HERE block.
• The student will hop on each word and read the sentence aloud.
• Next, have another student write a different word and jump again!
