Sample Activity: Writing The Word

• Call out a word from your current spelling list.
• Have the first student write the first letter of the word in the first box (light red).
• Then, have the second student write the second letter of the word in the second box (dark red).
• Continue taking turns with students until the whole word is spelled.
• Finally, have students take turns jumping on the boxes with feet, spelling the word aloud as they jump below each letter.
