Astronomy for kids – get your students moving with planet activities!
Our Planet Hop is a great way to introduce kids to outer space and what’s in our solar system! This floor mat opens up new possibilities for planet activities and games as kids of all elementary school ages learn about space and our solar system. Science teachers can keep astronomy for kids simple and engaging with movement.
Planet Hop depicts and names all of the planets in our solar system, from the sun to Pluto. With kinesthetic activities, students will memorize and retain the names and order of all the planets quickly! Kids will also be able to easily identify every planet in our solar system thanks to the big and realistic illustrations on this mat.
Set aside the solar system models. Make astronomy an energetic, hands-on activity for kids! Your students will step, leap, and skip while they learn about space and develop gross motor skills.

- The student will hop to the third planet and then say, “The third planet from the sun is Earth.”
