The Jump & Learn Multiplication Workbook makes learning multiplication active, fun, engaging, and fast while helping students develop positive self-esteem. This book includes over 200 pages of multiplication practice problems.
Jump & Learn Multiplication Workbook marries trauma-informed practices and math education by making the process of learning multiplication active, fun, engaging, and fast—all while developing positive self-esteem. Introduce students to multiplication problems from 0s to 12s, one multiple at a time. Sufficient practice problems allow students to develop multiplication confidence. Positive affirmations adorn the multiplication practice pages.
Students are encouraged to begin and end each practice page by reciting a positive affirmation while engaging in cross-body movements. Students document their mastery of each multiple by placing stickers on their personal Progress Reports. Upon completion of the program, the student places a large sticker on the Certificate of Completion. Also includes challenge problems, application problems, mixed multiplication problems, and pre- and post-tests.
Suzy Koontz is an educational consultant, an actuary, a former math teacher, and an author. She is a frequent speaker on the benefits of combining math practice with movement. Suzy’s mission is for all students to be on grade level in math and reading. As a national presenter for schools, conferences, and PTA/O, Suzy shares how movement-based learning can assist in accomplishing this goal.
